On May 11, we were delighted to welcome 200 of our closest friends and neighbors to our largest Top of the Town yet. We want to express our heartfelt thanks to all those who were able to attend. We surpassed our fundraising target, raising over $250,000 to support Community Roots’ work building and operating affordable housing in the Seattle area.
For the first time, Top of the Town featured a panel conversation. Community Roots is extremely grateful to Doug Baldwin, Jane Broom, and Marc Dones for joining us and engaging in a thoughtful discussion that questioned how we can better serve our neighbors who are disproportionately affected by Seattle’s high cost of living and displacement.
We are humbled by the immense support we received from our community. However, our work does not end here. Stay tuned for more ways to get involved in Community Roots’ work as we endeavor to foster thriving, equitable communities.
