Explore our available apartments. After finding an apartment you would like to apply for, call the site manager of that building and leave a voicemail stating your interest. The site manager can then call you back, prescreen you for eligibility, and schedule an appointment to view the apartment. After viewing the apartment, the site manager will verify your details, and then you’ll sign your lease!

- What To Bring When You Apply
- If you’re applying for a HUD-subsidized property, you’ll need to fill out this HUD application and submit it to our office. We accept mailed, scanned, faxed, and emailed applications. Find all of our contact information here.
Step 1: Prescreening
Call the site manager of the building you are interested in to be prescreened. Our site managers receive dozens of calls a day and are required to call applicants back in the order the calls were received, which can sometimes take several weeks. Please be patient while we work to match applicants with their new homes. When you are called back, you will be asked a series of questions to determine your eligibility for our different apartments. These questions may include inquiries about your:
- Household size
- Rental history
- Target move-in date
For more information on what apartments you might qualify for, take a look at our eligibility guidelines. Individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing can use TTY 1-800-833-6388. If you have general questions, would like an interpreter, or need accommodations to apply, please call our main line at (206) 329-7303 or email us and we will make arrangements in advance.
Step 2: Meet with a Site Manager
After the initial prescreening phone call, the two of you will work together to find a time to meet and tour the apartment. You should bring this list of important documents with you to your appointment.
Step 3: Tour the Apartment
During your visit, ask the site manager any questions you may have about the apartment and the property, and be sure to explore the neighborhood. If you feel it’s a good fit, the site manager will work with you on the next steps to advance your application.
Step 4: Sign Your Lease
After your application has been processed and all your details have been confirmed, you’ll sign the lease for your new home! Welcome to the Community Roots Housing family.
