Get Involved

You're invited to get involved in our community!

There are a variety of ways to engage and stay connected throughout the year.

Give to the COVID-19 Resilience Fund

You can help your neighbors in need. Please help us create a lifeline for our residents and small businesses as they recover from the repercussions of this devastating pandemic. 100% of the funds received will be used to support the residents, small businesses, and vital work of Community Roots Housing impacted by the coronavirus.Your gift will help our most affected communities overcome the impact of COVID-19, preserving the diverse and vibrant neighborhoods we serve in our rapidly evolving city.

Many Community Roots Housing residents are the service workers, artists, small business owners, childcare providers, and gig workers who’ve gone from a place of stability to a state of financial emergency.

A gift today could make the difference for someone between resilience and long-term devastating financial hardships. Thank you for your donation and for being part of this community that refuses to leave anyone behind.

Become a Board Member

Contribute your expertise in a meaningful way. Community Roots Housing and the Community Roots Housing Foundation are each governed by a board of directors. Our board members are highly qualified volunteers willing to commit time and personal resources to our organization, as well as represent Community Roots and our values to the community. We seek board members with skills and expertise in areas such as affordable housing, community development, finance, banking, fundraising, property management, communications, event planning, real estate development, and more. Our boards support the work of Community Roots Housing in equity and anti-racism, and we strive for boards that are reflective of the diverse communities we serve.

While calls for nominations are issued periodically, we also maintain an active list of candidates for ongoing consideration. In addition, there are opportunities for non-board members to serve in a more limited capacity on board committees. If you’re interested or would like more information, please contact our board liaison.
