Senior Manager of Philanthropy
Amy first joined Community Roots in 2020 as the Grants Manager for the Community Roots Housing Foundation. In this role, she led the preparation and submission of grant proposals big and small, securing millions in funding for Community Roots’ priority projects and programs. After a brief hiatus in 2022 to provide grant writing support for a national nonprofit, Amy returned to Community Roots in 2023 to serve as the Senior Manager of Philanthropy. In this new capacity, Amy leverages her 6+ years of fundraising experience to manage the larger philanthropic efforts for the organization, overseeing grant development and establishing a strategy for soliciting individual gifts.
Amy holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of California, Davis in Community & Regional Development, and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Washington’s Evans School of Public Policy & Governance. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and fur babies, reading, exploring the endless beauty of the PNW, and taking long walks through Target.
