Historical Trivia/Special Notation

Community Roots Housing developed the project under the sponsorship of the Fremont neighborhood Council through a Neighborhood Development Cooperation Agreement. The development used funding from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation through the Sound Families Initiative. The Fremont Solstice incorporates numerous sustainable building features and was built on a Seattle City Light surplus site.
