About the Building

Capitol Hill has a long history of being a home and cultural center for LGBTQIA+ life in Seattle. Community Roots Housing, in partnership with GenPride, hopes to preserve and enhance this proud tradition by developing LGBTQIA-affirming affordable apartments for seniors in the neighborhood.

Pride Place, an eight-story building located on Broadway between Pike and Pine, features 118 apartments above an LGBTQIA-focused community and health services center run by GenPride. Pride Place households must have at least one member aged 55 or older.
