The design incorporates strategies to save energy and water including solar panels, highly efficient irrigation systems, and drought-resistant plants.
Inside, apartments feature healthy materials like formaldehyde-free cabinets and low-VOC (volatile organic compounds) paint for quality indoor air. Energy-efficient appliances and low-flow plumbing are friendly to the environment and the wallet. Station House’s enhanced insulation and triple-paned windows exceed building code requirements to boost energy efficiency while reducing noise pollution.
Additionally, the building’s location enables close access to many transportation choices including light rail, walking, bus lines and bike lanes for a lower carbon footprint, healthy movement, and great access to city amenities
