Our organization was originally founded as an outgrowth of community action. Today, we honor that history and recommit to driving community-led development through community forums, meetings, and public events. Fundraisers provide vital support of our programs and residents, while allowing Community Roots Housing to develop more affordable homes.

Each year, Community Roots Housing hosts Omnivorous, a food and beverage showcase featuring tastings from some of the finest bars, restaurants, and distilleries in the Seattle area, all in support of Community Roots’ work to build vibrant, engaged communities.

As a Public Development Authority, we hold an annual stakeholder meeting to brief community members on the activities and goals of the organization. This event is an opportunity to hear directly from Community Roots Housing leadership and includes time for dialogue.
