The Foundation raises funds to support Community Roots Housing, a public development authority that builds, owns, and operates affordable housing in the Seattle area. Community Roots’ mission is to confront inequity to create inclusive housing and foster thriving, just communities. The Community Roots Foundation helps to sustain the organization’s general operations, expand programs such as Resident Services, support rehabilitation and preservation of existing affordable housing, and help launch other initiatives like the collaborative $45M Rise Together capital campaign.
