Each fall, Community Roots Housing hosts Omnivorous, a fundraiser that features tastings from some of the finest bars, restaurants, bakeries, and distilleries in the Seattle area. Supporting affordable housing never tasted so good! Stay tuned for updates on the 2024 event.

The lineup for Omnivorous 2023 was feta than ever! We were thrilled to be joined by A la Mode Pies, Ba Bar, Baiana, Blk Pepper Catering, Bateau/ Boat Bar, Café Avole, Chris S. Nishiwaki, Cinnaholic, Communion, Ethan Stowell Restaurants, Fast Penny Spirits, Footprint Wine, Gold Coast Ghal Kitchen, Hello Robin, Ma and Pop’s, Métier Brewing Company, OOLA Distillery, Pike Brewing Company, Poquitos, Rachel’s Ginger Beer, Revolver, Single Shot, Tea Moss Shop, Tjuana Tacos, Tom Douglas & Company, and Umami Kushi.

Hungry for change? So are we. At Community Roots Housing, we believe everyone has the right to a quality, affordable home. For over forty years our mission has focused on meeting our region’s need for housing while fostering vibrant, equitable communities. Today we are creating more affordable housing than ever before, placing into service over 500 new apartment homes between 2023 and 2024. Donations at Omnivorous support this work, which has never been more urgent as our communities contend with the impacts of a protracted housing crisis.

Omnivorous is more than just a festival of flavors; it’s an opportunity to cultivate a more inclusive, affordable Seattle. Ticket sales, auction proceeds, and donations all support Community Roots’ crucial work to build and operate affordable housing for over 2,000 of our neighbors.
