The Capitol Hill Arts District, in partnership with SeaLevel Properties and Sensebellum, have launched a new public art installation (read the press release here). The installation, UNION, projects a 60 feet high art show onto the Woodworth Apartment building in Capitol Hill. The inaugural exhibition launched July 14 and features photographs of essential workers by LeLeita McKILL.
LeLeita’s photo collection – a portrait project named ‘Essentially Seattle’ – was commissioned by the Seattle Office of Arts and Culture and will be featured in UNION’s projection for the next two months. After this, guest curators and artists will rotate command of the artwork. Neighbors, art enthusiasts, and visitors can enjoy the show at 953 E. Union Street every night for the rest of the year.
